Pinkston's coaching career began as a training camp assistant with Philadelphia in ; he also served in Vikings camp during , working with receivers on both occasions.
He had been with Petal Miss. Pinkston received his bachelor's degree in Coaching and Sports Administration from Southern Miss in A second-team All-Conference USA choice in , Pinkston was elected to the M-Club Hall of Fame in and remains second in Golden Eagle history in receiving yards 2, and third in both receptions and touchdown receptions He has two children, Jonathan and Chase. We were looking for a fit personality-wise.
I felt so good about the other guys we had on our staff that I wanted to make sure we got somebody who would fit in. Those phrases and drive to continually push and work and put in the time that Pinkston picked up from his father have done more than shape his career goals, it has helped Pinkston connect with his players. Everything that my dad would talk about at home, Coach Pinkston just says the same things over and over.
It helps that the two are naturally competitive and share an alma mater to feed into that. There's also the smack talk that continuously builds the rivalry between the defensive backs and the receivers.
