Maybe try upping it 1 or two notches. You can turn off the auto load If it's not that then its probably the audio card crapping out. Quick notes Go through the preferences. There is a "Load Next Track" you can uncheck. Also, select your Settings for the audiocard and change the numbers so that the latency is higher. Set it to 12ms and if that is good, try lowering it until you start getting clicks and pops.
Do this by running as many decks as you would with tons of FX and filters. That way you know what your max load is. Messages: 2. I plan for at least one train wreck per set because of this. Playing the files on another computer, some songs play perfectly fine, while others skip at at the same places.
I'm thinking it's the files that are messed up, which means to fix the problem, you have to re-rip the song. Anyone else have this issue? Hopefully I'm wrong and it can be fixed with a code update Frax , Jan 21, Messages: 7. I'm having the same problems. It's quite audible and has thus far prevented me from using TP anywhere but my basement.
It's every single track for me. There's no predetermined times that the skipping occurs either I will have a track skip on one part but I can go back and replay the same section of song and it won't skip. I'm pretty sure it's not a syncing issue because it still skips when I just play a song with no syncing or master clock.
I have also tried: Adjusting latency settings Upping cache size currently mb Turning off ALL background programs including wi-fi Any ideas? Messages: 1. I'm having the same problem. About one out of every sets I do, I'll have the skipping problem to various degrees. Last Friday I did a two sets a tag team with another DJ ; during the first hour-long set, I had maybe 3 skips, during the 2nd set it was skipping every minutes.
I had the skipping problem a couple of times at my gig before that, but did not experience it for like the 4 gigs prior. This is another way to fix iTunes keeps skipping songs issues. When you log out of your iTunes, remember to also deauthorize your computer and authorize it again.
One of the most possible reasons that causes iTunes skipping issue is the internet. When you are out of connection, the app will keep skipping until it finds a song that can be played offline. You can restart your router to reset your internet and then check if it is okay while using other apps online. If the song is no more available, it will grey out in the playlist instead of being deleted. So check your playlist if there're many songs that become unavailable and delete them to solve the problem.
It happens that when the song files are corrupted or broken, they will be skipped and can't be played. The solution is to check each song in your library or playlist, and see if they can be properly played.
If they're corrupted, replaced them with another version of the song or delete them. If you have tried out all the fixes above and still can't fix the problem. The last one I'm going to introduce is to play your iTunes music offline, even without the iTunes app. Of course you can directly download songs on iTunes and play them offline, but you can't make sure that the iTunes app will never go wrong again. So what's the solution to play every song on iTunes offline without using the iTunes app?
