The red screen of death issue seems to have been mitigated with the latest beta driver as I have yet to encounter one since installing it, but the lock ups occur on every driver I have tried, including the initial release Occasionally the game will exhibit a symptom of this impending lock up by stuttering while emitting a buzzing noise which sometimes leads to the screen freezing while emitting that same buzzing noise indefinitely; sometimes the screen goes black; and sometimes the computer locks up yet sound keeps playing as usual in the background.
All of these lock ups force a hard reboot. It seemed like a sound issue at first so I tried a few different audio drivers, including different versions of Realtek audio and the basic Microsoft sound driver, all to no avail.
Other users of the have confirmed this issue with their computers on the APB:R forums. I do not have any other issues with this card as I have not crashed through general use or through gaming since I got this card on its release.
Please look into this, thanks. My old HD run it just fine. I ended up sending my GTX back to vendor for a full refund. I play APB alot and i need a card that work in that game! But i want my GPU to work perfect with all games I am also having this issue with APB Reloaded.
I have a GTX using the I am able to play for varying amounts of time before my system locks, my display goes black with the monitor power light flashing, and I have to hard reboot. Sometimes it happens within 30 seconds of loading, sometimes I'm able to play for an hour. I have not experienced the small stutters leading up to the lock, it just comes out of nowhere.
I have tried some shots in the dark such as running the game windowed, disabling realtek and so on with no effect. I did try forcing my system to use the onboard HD graphics, and while I only get 15fps in x, it does not crash. There are no issues in any other game I have installed, only APB. Try setting the PCIE mode in your bios from 3. It has helped many users who experienced crashes, freezes and RSODs with their series cards including myself. This issue also is occuring for me in APB reloaded.
APB Reloaded is the only game that I get the black screen freeze with the buzzing sound. I also get a game screen freeze with the buzzing sound and I get a red screen of death upon exiting the game almost every time. The game usually crashes before you can complete a mission. I went hours without crashing last night but that was in a low population server with like 17 criminals and 0 cops then as soon as the pop starting increasing it Crashed on me Also i seems to only happen in the Mission Districts never have and crashing issues in the Fight club Servers. SeagullsUser 27, The game is terribly optimized and I believe it's not even better on the PC Version. This game makes me think the developers of this game might have little to no experience. Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. Yea i'm also here to ask or find out when they plan on fixing the crashing issue. And just an update for the optimaztion in general. This game just feels shameful.
